About the Program

The Women's & Gender Studies Program was established in Newark in 1970. Today, the program offers an Undergraduate Major and Minor, a Minor in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ) Studies, as well as a Graduate Concentration in Gender Studies. The Graduate Concentration is open to students enrolled in graduate programs in EnglishHistoryLiberal StudiesPolitical SciencePublic AdministrationGlobal Affairs, Criminal Justice, and American Studies.
