Maryella Hannum is Development Board Coordinator and UNESCO Chair Coordinator at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights (CGHR).  She is a graduate of Rutgers Division of Global Affairs (DGA) with a Masters of Science Degree in Global Affairs with a concentration in Global Business and Economics, and has a BA degree in Middle Eastern Studies from Douglass College, Rutgers University.

Prior to her affiliation with CGHR she was Senior Program Administrator at the Centers for Global Advancement and International Affairs (GAIA Centers). In this capacity she served as main representative and liaison to the United Nations, Department of Public Information (UN DPI). She began her affiliation with Rutgers University in 2005 managing operations of International Executive MBA (IEMBA) programs located in Beijing and Shanghai, China at the Rutgers Business School. She later worked in undergraduate education at the School of Arts and Sciences in the Office of International Programs, and in Rutgers’ university-wide Global Initiatives Programs. Hannum is a board member with the Friends of the Davis International Center at Princeton University, where she has served for the past 13 years.
