Nanette started with PALS as instructor of courses in the Intensive ESL Program. She then became the PALS Director and brings with her years of experience. Nanette originally hails from Louisiana and holds a BA in Education from Southeastern Louisiana University and an MA in Education from McDaniel College (formally Western Maryland College). Her postgraduate certification in TESOL/TESL/TEFL is from Southeastern Louisiana University.
Nanette's areas of expertise include her work as a teacher trainer, a Work Abroad trainer, and an American Sign Language interpreter. She speaks Arabic, Malaysian, Turkish, and American Sign Language. In addition to having worked for the American Peace Corps in Malaysia, Nanette has taught at universities in the U.S. and around the world. She has a professional interest in both how learning styles affect long term memory and cultures and languages.
